Welcome to Sacramento Valley Working Dog Club.

We are a working dog club that focuses on the sport of Schutzhund and a full member club with the United Schutzhund Clubs of America.

Schutzhund is a 3 phase dog sport where dog/handler teams compete for titles in tracking, obedience and protection. It requires extreme precision from both dog and handler and has been compared to a Triathlon for the working dog. While it does take a tremendous amount of commitment, team work, and dedication to train and prepare for all 3 phases of the sport, it is extremely rewarding.

Our Training Director/Helper is David Dembouski who also offers private training sessions 7 days a week. We have a regulation size training field on his property located in Vacaville, CA between Sacramento and the Bay Area.

Our club works to promote and preserve working temperament for all 3 phases of the sport, and conformation of all working breeds. We welcome all levels of dog / handler teams as long as they want to learn, are committed to the work it takes to compete in Schutzhund, have a dog with correct temperament, and choose to train using a positive/motivational approach.
